Katy Perry Reacts To Russell Brand Arrest

Katy Perry has voiced her support for fiance Russell Brand after the British comedian was subjected to a citizen’s arrest by a paparazzo on Friday at Los Angeles International Airport.Perry took to her Twitter account Friday night, where she claimed the “Get Him to the Greek” star was protecting her against an invasive paparazzo when the incident happened.

“If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me,” she Tweeted.The public information officer confirmed that Brand was arrested by the paparazzo.

“The victim involved placed the suspect (Russell Brand) under private person’s arrest,” the statement continued. “Airport Police took the suspect into custody for Penal Code Section 242 - battery. He will be booked at the LAPD Pacific Division station.”
